Super Sport 200 Plus, Class Rules 2014-15
Intent: In order to help promote participation in the Super Sport Class, The local Racers have voted and adopted this rule set for the 2014-15 Salem Indoor Season.
Weight: There is to be one (1) Class only. Minimum of 360# with kart driver in all gear.
Engine: Any Factory rated 6.5hp engine is legal for use up to 212cc.
• The engine will retain the overall look of the stock engine except for air cleaner, fuel pump and exhaust system. Exhaust must meet track noise limits.
Engine Modifications allowed:
• Any modifications to stock head allowed. Porting and milling allowed.
• Any stock size valves allowed including stainless and Hemi.
• Any valve springs up to 26lbs allowed.
• Any camshaft with max. lift of 252 degrees.
• Any rocker arms to 1:3.
• Max. Carburetor venturi se 6.25mm, clone style only.
• Aluminum flywheel required, any style or size allowed.
• Any air cleaner and fuel pump allowed
• Any connecting rod length allowed
• Flat top piston allowed
• Any exhaust pipe with or without muffler allowed. MUST MEET TRCK NOISE RULES.
• Stock appearing push rods permitted.
• No supercharging allowed.
Clutch: Clone Style clutch only.
Chassis: Any kart chassis allowed with rear brakes only.
Tires: Maxxis any type max size 5" Tires.
Tire Prep: Open
Fuel: Pump or Race gas allowed no additives.
Any kart determined to be unsafe by the Race Director will not be allowed to race.
Race Tech: At the end of each Main Event the Karts from the first 3 finishing positions will be required to remove his/her valve cover and air cleaner for inspection by the tech official. Failure to comply with the rules established will result in DQ and the next kart finish will be classified as the winner of the race.
