just wanting to get something started on our sunday shows, what do we have to do to get the Sunday show running like the Saturday show does? somehow the Saturday show always goes quickly and efficiently and we're done in a timely manner but on the sunday shows it always starts late there's a long intermission and were there late when most people have a long drive to get home, its pretty much all kids racing on Sunday, most if not all of them have school the next day so parents have to get them home feed them dinner, get them bathed and get them to bed so that they can make it to school and we end up running late every single Sunday. I would love if we can figure out a solution to get the Sunday show running like the Saturday show does we always do so well and efficient on the Saturday show, but really lack on the sunday show, I know all of the drivers have talked about this being a issue and would just like to have constructive talk about what we can do to fix it thanks!

Late start is cause they don't open till like 10 when supposed to be nine... u have to remember half that race on sunday also race saturday night... show... so that might be a reason.

Office opens same time both days, as far as I'm aware we run the same classes Saturday day show and Sunday (I could be mistaken) I know that they always push Saturday day show through because they have the night show, I think Sunday should be ran the same way. I'm just hoping this will get some things out so everyone can do what we can to help

This has been an issue for us as well. Saturdays run at a perfect pace but come Sunday it seems they want to drag it on for some reason? I would like to see them run the show at the same pace on Sunday as they do on Saturday! Its nice when driving back over the pass to do so in at least a little sunlight and be home at a decent hour.

I share this concern, last year we were finishing in the 3:00-4:00 area , and this year pushing the 6:00 curfew at times. There are a few reasons for this late finish; 2 additional classes, more yellows on Sundays, takes a bit longer to turn over the Main lineups, and we have more entries this year than last year. If you are a long time Salem racer you'll remember this is what Sundays were like every year. We do keep the same hours on Sunday as Saturday and our noise permit does not allow us to get on the track until Noon.
Having said this, the track crew and I would also like to get over earlier as we have to face Monday morning also.
I can think of 2 possible solutions that I will bring up at this Saturdays Driver meeting.
1. Go to 1 Heat and 1 Main on Sunday for all classes.
2. Run 2-5 Lap Heats and 1-12 lap Main on Sundays for ALL Classes.

Our team would be ok with either of those options and would greatly appreciate the ability to get done earlier as like you said we all have to face that Monday morning

Heather never let her programs runn on this long and she had far more karts to deal with.

That's it I'm not. ...... And now you want us to take a cut in track time. I'm sorry there was average 30 more entries, 3-4 more classes, no racecievers and it only cost. 20 dollars. Now we have less entries..... Less classes ..... Using racecievers And are paying 10 more and the program is taking 6 hours to run and you propose cutting track time I'm sorry that's not the solution.

If you cut our laps you had better cut our entry fee as well!!!
I have to agree with Will on this one. Heather's show was non-stop and I sware there were some times where it seemed like you only had 15-20 min between your heat races. IMHO there can be a lot of improvement done with getting the main line ups posted and the first main on the track shortly thereafter. Heck with Heather's program she also ran flat kart classes both days....so yes there were far more entries in her program too.

Even if Roger got to start off at old start time he still would run an hour longer with less cars, Less classes and Racecievers......But hey if things keep going the way they are it wont be a problem anymore.

This Sundays show did run better, we were out of there a hour earlier but still done a hour later then Saturdays day show. We appreciate Roger and the rest of the staff trying to make it better! As far as cutting laps, it may not be necessary but we paid close attention to what class were causing the delay on Sunday, why not put time limits on all classes on all races, if they can't run clean and keep their crap together and there time runs out they finish where they are at. That way it only punishes the class or classes having the problems not everyone else and it keeps a good timeline, if the rule is the same across the board they're would be nothing for anyone to complain about. Just a idea to throw out there
