Hey I just wanted to get a thread started to discuss travel to and from Lasoski. It looks like the closest airport to fly into is Kansas City, MO. It is around an hour from Warrensburg. I know there was talk of getting a couple of rental vans for the group. I'm sure there would be absolutely no Days of Thunder reenactments. We had planned on flying in on the 13th. Not sure about hotels yet. There are a few in Warrensburg. Not sure if any are giving discounts for racers.

Buy the 7 dollar a day insurance to walk away boys...LOL
The last car I rented a couple weeks ago was a Crown Vic...Blue Cop Car, It floated down the highway and we tried to "Ferris Bueller" it a couple times.
Show up at the Car Rental Counter with your Race suit and helmet on...they love that.
It would be cool for us to find a hotel in the area that we all could stay at and cause some trouble.

Quoting p 7 of the 2012 UAS RULES,
"ii. A full face, solid shell...Snell 2005 or newer helmet..."
Brian will be looking for the sticker when doing pre-race tech.
This was put up on Bobs. I don't want someone showing up back there and needing a helmet. #44

TIP: Don't read the sticker on the outside back of the helmet, you have to dig around inside under the padding to find the official sticker they'll be looking for.

Darin, Chris, and Rick loaded us up last night, on the road at 6:00 AM this morning. Looks like a tire factory inside the trailer, must be five hundred tires at least. Stacked most of our heavy stuff on top of Wayne's car, carbon fiber is tough! Hope to have a great time with great folks, a no-lose situation for Eric, don't expect much with busted up ribs, any result will be positive if he can at least make some laps.
