2013/2014 Salem Indoor 2-Day Show Classes, Times, and Fees

2013 Albany Summer High Point Trophies will be presented on 10/26/13 for Cage Karts

2-Day Show Cars & Cage Kart Dates:
Oct 26 & 27….Practice Fri. Oct 25th from 6:00 to 9:00 (more practice dates TBA)
Nov 9&10
Nov 23 Additional Race Date. This is a Points Race. No Sunday Show This Week.
Dec 14&15
Jan 4&5
Jan 18 & 19
Feb 1 & 2
Feb 15 & 16
Mar 1 & 2...Championship Weekend CANCELLED ON 2/21/14
Mar 29 & 30…Kage Cup (entry fee to be announced)

Saturday & Sunday Cars & Karts points will be combined to make one series.

Entry fees
All money classes $30.00, $10.00 Pit Pass-Drivers, Crew, and Spectators must have Pit Pass.
All trophy class Entry fee is $25.00. SPECIAL: During Oct & Nov the PeeWee and 5hp classes will have a $15.00 entry fee + pit pass.
Practice Dates: $20 Practice Fee and $10 Pit Pass. Crew and Spectator need Pit Pass
All payouts will be 50 % of entries
No year-end awards for money classes.
Must run 80% of scheduled races for year-end awards—Trophy Classes Only.

So all the "money classes" are not running for season end points this year?

Renee, I believe we are still running for season end points again. It says above that these are points classes above. But Roger will have to answer it for sure.

So we are seriously going to run our championship race mixed with cage cup??? So for those that are gonna close in points we have to worry about folks trying to win a money pot, taking us out and risk losing a championship??? This doesn't seem like a great decisiin, I mean especially after watching the saturday show end to the fall frenzy..

Probably not, we got 3 more March dates from the Fair late last week and haven't had time yet to figure out what to do with them. You bring up a good point.

Cage Cup should not be included in points.

"cage cup" is its own set of points for just that race but im wondering if it is also going to be a year end championship points race. Roger any input???

Traditionally, Cage Cup is really one race, not two. Heats are run one day, mains on the other. So what would be the point of throwing it in the points mix? March 1-2 was an added race and many have made plans to do other things prior to Cage Cup or get ready for Cage Cup. I feel that rescheduling an added weekend that gets cancelled is pointless. My opinion of course.

Cage cup is a stand alone race. We were unable to reschedule this weekends cancelled race, so, as soon as Bob gets back in town and he can review the points to date we will post them. Those points will be the season end points with class champions.
